WHY?

A question asked by millions everyday to gain information and knowledge to form their opinions. Sometimes we settle for the answer and other times we ask why again.  I love when my wife asks me why I did something and I can tell her "because I'm a guy, that's what guys do".  With that answer she really just has to accept it and not try to figure it out.   My kids ask why and I give them an answer and then they ask why again because they're the ones that don't settle for the answer they get.

So why talk about this question?  It's the question many people will ask about this blog and why it got started.  It's the question my wife and I asked God before we started the adoption of our son in 2010.  And it's the question many will ask us this time as we start the adoption process again.  Yes, you read it correct, we are planning on adding a seventh member to our family.  That would make five kids.

The reason we started this blog is for two main reasons, to let people follow our journey and we also thought this would be a great place to try our fundraising.  The first time we had a fundraiser we had a lot of family and friends help us pull it off, and it really was a lot of wok for those people.  This time we thought of a way to make it less work for those wonderful people.  I'm not going to reveal our idea yet, it will come in a later post.

If you know me at all you might be a little surprised that I'm even writing here, especially if you've talked to my wife and she's told you about my story telling skills.  See, she can't stand when I tell her stories, because I'll give her all the little details about whats going on around me before I tell her what I had for lunch. But, that is what makes great authors, right?  With all that said my wife will probably post on here way more than I will (unless I can get this figured out so I can post within a few mins instead of  an hour), and her ramblings might interest you more than mine.
